Smartphones - the most popular phones

Staff Analytical Services Gartner, followed by their counterparts from the company IDC, prepared a market analysis of communicators in 2010. Thus, throughout the whole year was sold about 1.6 million mobile phones, which is 31.8% compared with the previous indicator. 300,000 of them were smart phones, the number of sales which increased by 70% and market share reached 19 %.

Among the mobile software platform holds the leading position of Symbian, and although its share decreased from 46.9% in 2009 to 37.5 % last year. In absolute terms we can say that it has been sold 111.6 million Symbian- smartphones. The increase in popularity and trust among users, and is typical for devices running the operating system Google Android, sales of which increased by almost 900% - from 6.8 to 67.2 million units.
